Week 17- Collaboration Completion

This week marked the completion of our collaborative work, all of the work we all did in the build up was collected and then edited by Laura into a video to encapsulate each of our own interpretation of what the glitch is to us on a personal basis, while also completing a cohesive, group, collaborative piece.

The final outcome was ultimately an amalgamation of all of our works in video and audio form, during the editing process it was decided that the use of audio would be a great help to tie everything together. We eventually began referring to the audio as a 'soundscape' as it felt like it belonged equally to each individual piece featured in the video yet also told its own story.

In terms of the overall outcome I'm extremely proud of what we managed to produce in such a condensed timeframe, it isn't often that I would create so much work in such a short amount of time but through collaboration I was kept engaged and inspired the whole time which is something I find extremely important. In out current times this project has reminded me about the importance of keeping in touch and collaborating, it is easy to feel lost when you are making all of your work from home but this project has helped me find my feet again.

I have pondered upon where this could go next and I feel the most important thing to consider is the context in which this video work would be shown in an exhibition setting. Would it be a projection? A video? An installation? Personally I believe it would work best as an installation and when it is safe to do so I hope we can take this project further.
