Week 19- Human Algorithm: Digital Glitch

Continuing this relationship between myself and the machine I followed along the path that I discovered over the previous weeks. Inputting my intricately drawn human-algorithm pieces to the glitch program and simply seeing what comes out.

As a process I find it very exciting, reminiscent of the earlier days of this project where I was creating algorithms that would randomly draw an image, this has brought back that same magic of the unknown and uncontrollable which is what got me hooked on the algorithmic in the first place.

Some effects are hyper-extreme while some are more subtle and only adjust a few pixels in the image. The disparity between the two is of interest to me as it makes me wonder; why did the machine decide  to affect one drawing one way but a different drawing a completely different way? Like I explored in some previous posts I feel that the glitch is a sentient being so pondering upon why exactly it made the decisions that it did is an integral part of my process and I would like to discover a way to indicate that in the outcome.

Overall I'm not as happy with the outcomes of this week as I was over the previous weeks, mainly because of their subtleties. To me personally they don't feel as impactful or important as some of the other work I've made but I still have this intrigue into the decision making of the machine/program that draws me back into the work. The intricacies of the drawing are still a main focal point in these two outcomes.
